2018 4th Quarter Housing Market Update

It sure was a cold season in 2018 4th Quarter and the weather did have a big impact on our housing market.  While the cold weather definitely kept some buyers at home as well as shut down several offices that help with real estate transactions, we still had increases in several areas of home sales comparative to 2017 4th quater.

  • Detached home sales totaled 2,716 units, a 1.68% increase when compared to 4th quarter 2017.
  • The median sales price for detached homes increased to $204,900, a 4.01% increase from a year ago.
  • Average sales price for detached homes increased 2.37% to $241,900.
  • Listings Increased from 3160 in 2017 to 3260 in 2018 for an increase of 3.13%
